The Patient's Patience

An old man waiting at a Manila Hospital.
He was staring into nothing, not moving.
So i did a quick sketch of him.
Finished the piece with some loose ink drawing
and a few watercolour washes.

watercolour studies

I use to love watercolours when I was in college.
But then the more i studied it, the more scared i got.
So I stayed away from it and drifted towards oils.

I haven't touched watercolours for many years.
Until now.


This is Rain. My 6 month old daughter.
She's the reason I'm trying to get back to watercolours.
I have to rediscover my long lost love for it
because I couldn't find time to do oils since she was born.

And I'm having fun so far!
